This sweet, dark red Spanish paprika from La Vera, Spain is dried and smoked in the traditional New World-style. Since 1493 when Spanish Monarchs were presented with these peppers, native to South America, methods of drying, curing and smoking have been fined tuned. Peppers are dried in low-lying adobe smokehouses which are gently heated through smoking grills stoked with slow-burning oak. Its deep, earthy aroma adds much more than a beautiful colour to eggs, potatoes and sauces.
